The Diamond Metal Finishing Company is a leading processor of aluminium chromate and non- chromate conversion coatings. Aluminium chromate conversion coatings improve the corrosion resistance of wrought, heat treatable , cast and sheet aluminium alloys whilst providing an excellent base for wet paint or powder coating or can be used as a standalone finish.
The Diamond Metal Finishing Company provides rack aluminium Trivalent and non – chromate coatings across a wide range of industries including aerospace, medical, Mass Spectrometry, Defence,Telecommunications and electronics whilst conforming to all areas of the Rohs , and w.e.e.e. directives.
Our working parameters for all of our aluminium conversion coatings are 2.4m x 1.2m x 0.5
- Alocrom 1200
- Iridite NCP
- Surtec 650
Alocrom 1200 is a Chromate conversion coating chemically applied to aluminium. The coating provides corrosion protection. It is also applied prior to painting or powder coating and is used when protection and/or electrical conductivity is required.
The contact electrical resistance is less than 5000 micro-ohms per square inch measured under an applied electrode pressure of 200 pounds per sq inch. (MIL-C-5541 method). And is suitable for all types of aluminium alloy including the 2000, 5000 , 6000 and 7000 series, also castings and high silicon alloys which can be problematical to anodise.
It can be used on aluminium wherever maximum corrosion resistance is required, and is suitable for articles which are to be painted or left unpainted.

Surtec 650 / Surtec 650 V
SurTec 650 is a hexavalent chromium free passivation for aluminium, suitable for alloyed and casted aluminum . It is also used as a pre-treatment before laquering, powder coating and gluing. Read more on… Surtec 650
For Aluminium, MacDermid Iridite NCP is an environmentally safe, chrome-free passivation treatment designed specifically for aluminium alloys. It applies a highly corrosion-resistant conversion coating ideally suited to be painted or left as a stand-alone corrosion resistant barrier. Read More On… Iridite NCP
