Zinc Plating
Zinc Plating, is the largest of our facilities here at our headquarters in Stoke-on-Trent and has been the backbone of our continued growth.
We offer a 24 hour operation for Zinc Plating with our PLC controlled Plating equipment and handle volume parts equally to that of small batch work utilising 3 process plants.
Our lifting capacity is 400kg whilst having the capability to process parts up to 3.7m x 1.1m x 0.4.
Our passivation systems include the latest Trivalent systems whilst including reclassified hexavalent passivation now labelled as Special Process or [SP].
We therefore conform to ELV. WEEE, ROHS and Reach and UK Reach legislation. However we would advise our customers to visit the HSE website to enhance their own understanding and interpretation of end use.
Zinc Corrosion Protection Values
The data below relates to corrosion testing in accordance with ASTM B117 procedures, 5% neutral salt spray, and deposit thickness 8µm. Silicate post dips and lacquers can add 100-250h to the above values. Protection of steel substrates (red rust corrosion) is proportional to the deposit thickness.
- Further guidance on Reach, Rohs ELV and WEEE legislation and end uses is available here*.
Please note:- We now conform to Safran Aerospace specification NTG 011
